No mention of Steeves there?

Injured first game, didn't play again. So probably just not much to say there.

"Zach's personal choices are dangerous and reckless and we don't want that type of person near our NHL team. Instead he'll mentor our prospects."

The streams that get posted for the Leafs in the gdt, would there be a Jay's equivalent?

Those sites that get linked there have MLB streams as well on their pages.

What do we think of this?

Looks like he's 29?  Small: 5'9", 163lbs.  In 66 games scored 13-31-44 with a -15 for NJ in 19-20.

I give Gusev a lot of credit for this move. After a mediocre covid season and nobody signing him to a contract a month and a half into free agency I don't think anybody would have blamed him for just heading back home and signing a multi-million dollar deal with a KHL deal. I'll be rooting for him, even if he can't crack this group I hope this earns him a spot somewhere.

Anyone else thing the rumors of the Leafs knocking on the Subban door have anything to do with the Leafs looking at Moving Rielly?  If his asking price is too much, would it make sense to deal him and acquire salary-retained Subban?

That rumour originated from someone with less insider-cred than Eklund, so yeah don't pay any attention to it.

I'm quitting on the Leafs if Kase goes in the top 6 over Kerfoot.....or at all, really.

Kase scored 20 goals in 17/18 and was on a 30 goal pace in 18/19 before injuries ended his season. He's obviously a bit of a wild card because of those injuries but I don't think it's nuts to give him a shot in the top-6.

Unless I’m looking at the wrong source, it’s says 75% 1 dose and 69% fully vaccinated for Ontario.

Yeah, vaccination rates are often either stated as for total populations or total "eligible" populations (aged 12 or older). And that can sometimes cause confusion. Those stats are for total populations, if you click that little "eligible" toggle it'll flip to the aged 12 or older numbers.

Ontario is at 75% 1 dose and 69% fully vaccinated for their entire population, 85% 1 dose and 79% fully vaccinated for their eligible population.

Alberta is at 67% 1 dose and 60% fully vaccinated for their entire population, 79% 1 dose and 72% fully vaccinated for their eligible population.

Something that’s confusing me about Alberta, their vaccination progress is pretty good. They’re at 80% fully vaccinated and 72% first dose. That’s better than Ontario. So why is it such a shitshow?

Their government essentially proudly boasted that Covid was over in July and ended most of their restrictions, including their indoor mask mandates. For all the flack I could give Ford at least he never acted that boneheaded.

Also your vaccine numbers are flipped there. It's 79.6% (of the 12+ population) with one dose and 71.5% fully vaccinated. In Ontario it's 85% with one dose and 79% fully vaccinated. The other problem is that Calgary and Edmonton are really carrying those numbers while the rest of the province is much, much lower. Glancing at their interactive map those two cities are in the 70s and 80s for being fully vaccinated while the rest of the province is largely in the 50s. Ontario's numbers are much more even throughout all the regions.

Wouldn't Kampf and Kerfoot be switched there?

My original assumption was that the Kampf signing would allow Kerfoot to play higher in the line-up, but it's also possible it could go the other way. We shouldn't forget that Kerfoot played a chunk of last season on a suped-up 4th line with Thornton and Spezza. Wouldn't be my first choice but it also wouldn't be entirely surprising to see him with like Spezza and Simmonds or Kase.

Or, as the NHL calls it, playoff hockey. :-X

Seriously though that happened in almost every game of the Florida-Tampa series.
