It’s down already but the website answered yes and sold shirts for Kotkaniemi and Aho for 20 dollars

Connor McDavid has 116 points in his last 60 games.
Draisaitl has 92 and then the 3rd highest scorer is Brad Marchand with 72

Who had the brilliant idea to start a hockey game at 6PM tomorrow?

Expected goals for doesn't always translate to actual production but the Leafs have an xGF of 15.48. The flip side is their expected goals against is 12.05 so that one extra goal over their 8 vs. 6 actual goals really doesn't make their 2-1-1 record really all that unreasonable.

The Leafs have relied on Campbell (and 2nd period Mrazek) to make a lot of difficult saves as well.

In fairness to Barnes he has had three fouls called on him that have been the Wizards player jumping into him which isn’t supposed to be a defensive foul anymore.  The officiating has been pretty bad against a team that is doing more than it’s share of beating themselves by not being able to shoot

That's not really Barnes specific. Barnes would have been an interesting pick if the team didn't have OG and Pascal and Boucher and Precious and so forth.

I think I was right there with you about Suggs.   The Raptors are too much of the same.  They are only going to be dangerous if they play all aggressive basketball and that's not a winning style of basketball because it is too draining.

The effort is bad tonight but the offense is going to struggle

Dalano Blanton hit a half court shot to end the 3rd at least.

The schedule is stupid.

Edmonton plays 8 back to backs this year.  The Islanders have 19!  Meanwhile the Islanders have two weeks out of the first 5 weeks of the schedule with only 1 game.

Leafs are bottom half of the league with 13 back to backs but not all back-to-backs are the same.  The Leafs first two are back-to-backs against a rested team with the Leafs having to travel.  The schedule is stupid this year.  They can say compressed schedule due to the late start/Olympics but the discrepancy in back-to-backs and large gaps in schedule are just a poorly designed schedule

He tried to block a puck over glass penalty and Anaheim scored on the ensuing interference penalty. I’m pretty impressed with the hand eye coordination fully extended with terrible sight lines to the puck.

This is a weird one. I know it’s technically a penalty and it’s an automatic thing, but I feel like this one should have been let go.

Kind of relative though, there was going to be a penalty on the play either way.  It's either Puck over the glass or delay of game for playing the puck off the bench.  It just went to Tkachuk instead of the other Flames player.

Muzzin Holl isn’t working right now.  They are both really struggling.

Holl likely played a game or two under the weather, and Muzzin's probably dealing with something too considering he was given a maintenance day earlier in the week. Hopefully that explains some of that.

Yeah there are definitely reasons although I think I did see a stat that suggested that over the last year that Muzzin's numbers are better away from Holl than with him by a decent margin (sample size apart is pretty limited though)

As long as Matthews wasn't hurt at the end of this game, because he looked like he was laboring there.

First game of the year and played 23 minutes after no preseason.  He was likely just gassed.

Brutal…..all of those absurd chances amd the Rangers win it.  What an undeserving win for the Rangers.  That can’t go in from Campbell
Are we really going to blame Campbell for this game??

That wasn't a good goal.  Are we really so afraid of calling that not a great goal?  He wasn't bad.  He wasn't the reason we lost but that goal should not go in.

I think the Leafs shooting percentage on the season is about 2%
