The Wolfpack, now in League 2, are in the Semi-Final against a French team (Toulouse).  Should they win it all, they’ll be promoted to Super League.

Rugby fans, you can read all about the Wolfpack’s ‘unexpected’ success here:

My final story for @TheAthleticTO - a big read on the @TOwolfpack and how in less than 3 years they've created a community of die hard fans, a first-class environment and are growing the game of Rugby League in North America.https://t.co/JhjhnFz9aE— Hailey Salvian (@hailey_salvian) September 20, 2019

They did it!

The “worlds first transatlantic team”, the Toronto Wolfpack earned their promotion into the Super League by defeating the Featherstone Rovers this afternoon at Lamport Stadium.  The crowd of 9,000+ was the largest ever to attend a Rugby Championship game in T.O.

Next year, the Wolfpack are determined to win it all and be crowned Super League Champions.  Looks like they’re well on their way...

When you're #MillionPoundGame winners AND @SuperLeague bound, it calls for champagne showers.  🍾 Get your ☔️ @ToWolfpack

They have been shafted big time by the Super League. Started with 23 players because of salary cap issues. That's 2 short of a normal roster. No piece of the TV deal, and no access to government relief.

Bob Hunter, the Chairman and CEO, was on Sportnet's sports on pause podcast. He talked about some of this. He said the wolfpack always run at a loss and the owner is ok with that. They are about minimizing the loss.

It was a pretty intersting listen, I knew next to nothing about the WolfPack before this afternoon.
