Well that didn't last long. Wonder if Tampa gets him back now that Kucherov is out (or if anyone higher than them grabs him).
I don't think he gets through 30 teams for T Bay to grab him back.
Adam Brooks replacement?

I can only speak for myself but I would not go to any sporting event or concert right now.

I feel the same way so it seems interesting that in the context of a market where it's often said that the Leafs could sell 10 or even 20 thousand more tickets a night if they had capacity that so many people are turned off from going to events that it's leading to empty seats.

Assuming, of course, that it is the Pandemic causing it and not the sense I get that the fanbase is at a pretty low point right now.

I think it's a combination. Low point, pandemic & cost. It's not a great trifecta.

I didn’t realize Kane faked his vaccine status. I thought he was just refusing to get vaccinated. What is wrong with this guy.

Yeah I somehow missed that too.  He could have just said he didn't want to get vaccinated and deal with the consequences.  What a blockhead.
Scumbag should just be barred for the season.

I appreciate the way we tend to think of these things but at some point don't you have to question whether or not this team was, at least in part, built to be a team that frequently outshoots their opponent without necessarily having the skill to have a ton to show for it?

Personally I disagree. I feel this is a timing and familiarity issue. We’re only 4 games into the season and we’ve seen this for years and years and years. Some games you throw everything you have at the goalie and you get stoned and then another game you have 4 goals on 20 shots. It’ll even out.

As bender said this isn’t the Ron Wilson leafs that were outshooting opponents but clearly being the inferior team on the ice.

One thing I’d like to acknowledge is the commitment to team defence. I’d say all of last season and so far this season you’re not seeing at all the frustrations that existed with the Babcock leafs and the frequency of blown leads. And I think with that comes some sacrifice on the offensive side.

It’ll even out. I’m sure of it.
I really didn't see a team that couldn't generate quality chances tonight though or took a step back offensively really. The chances were there.

They aren't the Ron Wilson era Leafs.

Brutal…..all of those absurd chances amd the Rangers win it.  What an undeserving win for the Rangers.  That can’t go in from Campbell
Are we really going to blame Campbell for this game??

That was such bull#$#% ugh...

Hearing the Soup chant is just damn cool.

This game is close literally in score only.

BUNTING
That goal was exactly what I thought we'd get with Bunting.

sort of like Zaitzev

I wouldn't call Zaitsev a colossal failure. He's overpaid, but he stuck in the league. Zaitsev also didn't have that level of offensive output as Lehtonen.

At least he tried, good for him. I think he could have stuck on a team like Arizona, but there is no place like home.

He couldn’t stick with a not very good Columbus team. Other than Buffalo, I don’t think he cracks any NHL roster.
I know KHL defensemen don't normally make a great transition to the NHL but man, that was a colossal failure.

Looks pretty not good for Robertson (right knee)
Brutal. Is it just me or does he seem injury prone?
