Leafs win. Matthews hits 40.  Oilers losing 4-0 in the first period against Vancouver.

I don’t know how anyone can think this Habs team can beat this leafs team 4 times in 7 games. I know ‘anything can happen’ but come on.
Carey Price is the only hope they have

I guess. But he’s never really scared me.

I listened to this one on the radio will driving.  First time in quite a few years.  Joe is OK but I loved Beyak an d Ralph way back when

Anyway the first period was great fun.  Matthews pretty much has some prestige hardware locked down.

In their sorta defence, they are missing arguably their 3 most valuable players in Price, Gallagher, and Weber (3 of 4 if you want to put Petry over Weber, which is maybe fair). All of them should be back for playoffs.

I kinda feel like we might have the new Crosby v Ovechkin narrative. One a more of an all round possibly slightly more of a play maker versus a pure goalscorer.

I always enjoyed watching Ovechkin more than Crosby. Sort of feel the same way about Matthews v McDavid except with added bias.

The leafs played well for most of the game. It was good to see the referees working hard in the 3rd period to try and get the Habs back into it.

It's a much closer game if their rookie goalie doesn't start. If the PP doesn't get going I can see a path for the Leafs to lose.

Does no one remember those Leaf - Sens series where it looked like the Sens had the better team but then the Leafs would come out and beat them.

Let's stop prognosticating and just wait for things to happen.
