Truly wild that a former president who incited a failed coup is liveblogging an FBI raid on his golf club home to the media outlet that he has insisted is fake, yet watches most fastidiously.

Iirc he did say he wanted to be closer to home. Rings a bit hollow now, no?

I'm not sure what would be considered hollow about it. He wanted to play at home in front of his friends and family. He got to do that for a full season (and represent his country at the Olympics for the last time). He never said he wanted to stay there forever.

It is also completely reasonable for someone to try something for a year and then to make a different decision a year later.

Especially since it was just coming out of the heart of the Covid lockdown and now the US is basically back to normal (my opinions and feelings about that notwithstanding). This and the Bergeron contract look like one last kick at the can Cup and was probably something they discussed at Tuukka Rask's wedding recently.

Been suspected/rumoured for awhile but finally confirmed.

Did Spezza ever get the old-man bonus?

TLN:
10. Ty Voit

If we're lucky, this is a mini-Marner with more centering and line carrying experience (but lower ceiling). There are a few other candidates in the the same player type that don't look as promising (Abbruzzese, Abramov, Der-Arguchintzev).

They finally got the story about whether they should get the jet ski or the furnace

godamit herman...it was the snowmobile or the furnace.

How the hell does jet ski or furnace make any sense?

Thanks Frank, for stepping in here.  We must defend the sacred moments on this board with unshakeable fidelity.

The survey, commissioned by CTV News and The Globe and Mail, shows 73 per cent of Canadians feel anger about the situation, with 14 per cent saying they feel disinterest, about two per cent feeling satisfaction and 11 per cent who said they are unsure.

[...]

The Nanos survey shows most Canadians oppose (71 per cent) or somewhat oppose (13 per cent) Hockey Canada using part of hockey registration fees to pay out sexual assault allegation settlements. Four per cent support it, while five per cent somewhat support it.

I'm very curious about where these opposing viewpoints are coming from

Scheduled my 2nd booster (dose 4) for Friday afternoon.
3x Pfizer, looking to mix in a Moderna

1st two doses had a good headache and a day of fatigue. Booster dose was relatively easier, but still a little fatigue. I'm expecting the first Moderna to kick my butt.

Moderna booster is in and has been for a couple of weeks.

It burned a bit going in (maybe the cryo temp?) and my arm was very tight and sore for about 2 days starting about 5 hrs after injection with some tingling in the fingers towards the end of the second day. Some mild fatigue day 1, but not nearly as much as I expected. No other ill-effects.

I received the dose at a local pharmacy (literally downstairs in my building) vs the long line-up pop ups I waited in for the first 3, so that was a pleasant bonus.

Treliving has made a living on signing big deals to buy them out later though.

This was a fun (and sad lol) retrospective on the T25U25 to see how the pipeline has shifted between managements (and sort of how we watch and interpret the game). The comments discussion is also very good, if not better.
