TSN is reporting that former Expos and Mets catcher Gary Carter has passed away. The Hall of Famer has been battling brain cancer for the last couple of years. He was 57.

Great ballplayer. While I never got to see him play in his prime Expos days I did see him as a Met. I maybe a Jays fan but as a kid I liked to watch the Mets as well. RIP Gary.

I remember him best as an Expo, but, many will remember him in the 1986 World Series as a Met, that led to that infamous Bill Buckner faux pas...
R.I.P. Gary Carter.
