That scene in the church, where Ted is 'arguing' with the priest just had me howling with laughter...culminating in Ted pressing his chest and the other voice says "I love you".. I just LMAO.

It's funny that you mention that scene. I had just sent a clip of that exact exchange to my brother to try and convince him to watch the show.

aaaaaaaaaand there should be another convert to the TedFandom :)  thanks for the clip link! I'm watching hockey at the moment on TV, but pulled that link up and my husband is wondering why I'm LMAO at the high sticking that just happened.

I love it! I loved the first movie, didn't care for the second one. But the show is excellent. The actors are all amazing and make the characters believable and (in most cases) sympathetic. And I think there's just enough heart in the show as well (the bullying episode and the Christmas episode especially) to make it, IMO, more well rounded than FG is. I don't wanna see this (*@#&% anywhere near my beloved Leafs....but I do like Herman's idea of signing him (el cheapo!) and press boxing him for the duration.

I'm not sold on Ryu. He has his good games, but he has baaaaaaaaaaaaaaad ones too. It's funny, a year ago I was saying the same about Kikuchi, and he's turned it around and is pitching pretty well now. Bassitt, Berrios and Gausman are all fantastic. It's our mid and closing pitching that is the most susceptible. Romano's been terrible the last few games he pitched, but that should right itself hopefully.

oh for gods sakes no.
first Reaves and now this a hole...... the only player I hate more than bertuzzi is brad marchand.

I may have to rescind my Leaf fandom for a year or so.

this just makes me so sick. I cannot stand either Domi or Bertuzzi and don't want either of those cancer on our team.

*sigh* Acciari's gone now too

ffs

this new GM.... I hate him already. He lets Schenn and O'Reilly go, but signs Ryan f*@#&ing Reaves. Like we need another cementhead who will spend most of his time either on the bench or in the penaltybox.
what a useless move this was.....

Quote from: L K on June 11, 2023, 08:13:52 AMFlorida with another end of game brawl.  I really dislike that team.  They are dirty as hell and there is no consequence for it

really sick and tired of matthew tkachuk (possible sp, but intentional I'm too lazy to look it up, he doesn't deserve that kind of consideration) whining about stuff when he does crap like trying to take off Pietrangelo's (spelled correctly because I do respect him) head off with his stick after the game is over. There's so many guys on the panthers to hate for how dirty they are. I hope the Knights end these jerks on Tuesday.....

and does anyone know why the hell there are two days between games now? grrrr

:( I finally developed some love for Jason Spezza when he played for the Leafs and then took the front office job after years of hating him purely because he played for Ottawa. And now we've lost him. I think I'm more upset about that than I am the loss of Dubas.

Non-Hockey Chatter / Re: Heat pump

our house is electrically heated. For many years, we used a woodstove to do most of the heating. After getting new windows put in by Centennial, our hydro bill went down substantially. We had a heat pump installed with our central air two summers ago and our hydro bill went down even more.
Our neighbours, who have the same model house as we do, had gas installed, furnace & ductwork.....cost them 15K to have that done, and they now have a gas bill monthly AND still pay almost the same amount we do for hydro per month too. Heat pump paid for itself first year we had it.
