oh, I did know. His younger brother Brad is one of my daughter's best friends. But usually they talk about Brent's *dogs* around me, not the slithery things. Brent has/had two gorgeous Huskies.....

Arlene freakin' Whine-on.....

Admittedly I don't listen to the radio much in the afternoon anyway (I'm a morning listener, they better not mess with my Mike Stafford fix!)..... But just in case, who's on TSN radio and Sportsnet radio in the afternoon, and where on the dial do I find them?

John Tory, CFRB 1010 is looking better and better, if I'm an afternoon listener.

We haven't seen one Potter film... I understand the last couple are a bit scary for little ones? Can anyone recommend an appropriate age to start watching from the beginning?

the first two are age appropriate even to about age 5 or 6. Three and four have a few incidents of violence that will scare a sensitive child, but I'd say up to age 10 or 11 should be ok. I took my daycare kids to see number 3 years ago, and the oldest one at the time was 11, the youngest (my own boy) was 8 and he was okay with it, but he can stand horror type stuff better than me (he's 15 now). The last four movies (three books,  four movies, so Order of the Phoenix, Half Blood Prince and two parts to Deathly Hallows...) are PG 13 for a good reason. There's way more violence (although most of it is implied, the deaths mostly occur off screen) and frightening stuff  in them. There some very intense stuff, and storyline wise more than a young child can cope with. Unless the child has read the Potter books or is tough as nails, I would say age 10 or older for sure, for the last four movies.

There's bound to be a clause in Watters contract that gives AM640 an out should he say something outrageous or offensive to their audience. Clearly, on July 4th, Bill did say something offensive. AM640 probably just saved themselves close to a year of Bill's big contract.

okay, I missed that. What did he say? (and I'm asking 'what' did he say, not 'where's the link to what he said' here, just to be clear) please?

Bynon?

oh gawd why.  Admittedly, I haven't listened to Watters regularly since Marek left. But I can't STAND Arlene Whine-on. Good gawd what are they THINKING? My favourite on 640 is Stafford, and I just shut it off whenever he's away/sick/off for some reason and she's in his place.

Watters can't carry the show on his own anyway, but I tend to agree with those who have said there's really not enough room around for three drive time sports shows on the radio....
