So this backlash about the little mermaid being black is... mind bendingly mind bending.

I feel like this is an elaborate bit. There's no way fully grown adults could give a shit about this one way or the other. But yet here we are.

I think it's terrible that they didn't cast an actual mermaid in the role!

not a fan of the Royal family per se, but I do have a lot of affection and respect for the Queen.  I suppose it's inevitable that she'll pass eventually but it'll be a sad day when it does happen.

Only Murders in the Building.
OMG, Steve Martin and Martin Short are amazing and hilarious.....and the lineup of guest stars is just  eye popping.
and there's also Selena Gomez for the younger crowd.

and if that foot is bothering him so much that he couldn't run that out, then he shouldn't be playing. Put Tapia or Bradley in.

grr...love you Teo, but ya gotta put team first here.

They don't allow cigarette ads on tv here for a good reason. Alcohol/beer advertising has some pretty strict rules. To just allow gambling, and worse, online gambling advertising--and to have it be the damn sponsor of a segment of the broadcast even worse!--is just irresponsible and and obvious money grab to me. And given his wife's history, Gretzky should know/be better.

I will say, for all his faults and mediocrity, Gretzky's a better actor than his wife ever was. (not saying much)

Anyone else kind of get the sense that outside of being very good at hockey Gretzky is kind of a zero?

yep.
I've never actually liked the guy much, tbh. And his schilling for online betting now just totally ruins any integrity he may have had in my eyes.

I'm completely disgusted. CTV News has always been our go to. Not any more. Shoddy, classless way to treat the woman who won Best Anchor more than once. When Lloyd Robertson finally retired, he was feted on camera for ages before he actually left. And Lisa has to say goodbye from her cottage via twitter.

What a $#!t operation Bell Media is.

I'm really enjoying the 3rd season of The Orville.

I love it. Bought the first two season dvds (even though I don't have a working dvd player). I liked the first two seasons well enough, but season three has just been incredible. Except for the new character, can't stand her.
It does have a nice StarTrek type feel to it, but being a little less perfect and a little more relatable makes me like it even more.

I have a four day camping trip coming up at the end of August, all the way up near Kirkland Lake (Esker Lakes Provincial Park). Haven't camped in 16 years, it's like a 7 hour drive away, with my wife, kid and dog.... I'll see if I come back with the same attitude.  ;D
enjoy! the dog especially, will love it!

Jays fire Montoyo. Not surprising but I think it's a non-fix masking over a deeper problem.
What's the issue you would say?

well at least partly he doesn't listen to his own damn players. Called a first base out challenge in the game last night even though Vladdy clearly told him not to, that he (Vladdy) missed the base and the runner was safe. Runner WAS safe, and the Jays lost their challenge.....and pretty much the very next play they could've used it but couldn't because Montoya had wasted it.

Just makes me wonder how much other stuff is going on.

and it's up to a five day credit now. Which is almost reasonable, since we actually have been ignite tv less for five days.

They're just lucky it isn't hockey playoffs, Olympics or WJHC time........

Rogers, Fido and Chatr cellular devices have no signal this morning for the majority of the country.  Just an FYI if you haven't noticed yet because you were on WIFI at home.

I'm a total rogers customer. No cell. No internet. No cable today until about half an hour ago. I feel sorry for the customer service rep who answers my husband's call tomorrow. He's not a happy camper.

I should really just mind my business, but what point would there be to call and be angry with a customer service rep that had nothing to do with a NATION-wide outage?

oh, he'll be polite with the first person answering and ask for the account retention supervisor. Just like every time something is out with rogers. Sorry I wasn't more clear.
