Look, I'm a proponent adding a big piece given they accrued some space and the East is a dogfight...but I don't think too many articles get read which suggest that the Leafs stand pat, cross their fingers, and hope for the best.

Not doing anything of substance and just adding Knies is a lot of pressure to put on the kid, but maybe it's what's best for the team's averaged out chances over the next couple of seasons?

Is there even a middle ground though that is defensible at a press conference Dubas takes after a first round exit?

I doubt Matthews will play since he sat out last night, better to rest him up and see if he's ok for a more important game against Boston. 

Hopefully Kampf is ok...that head shot he took you never know, symptoms can appear hours later so let's hope he doesn't have an concussion issue.

ZBBM has made it quite public that he can be bought for practically any price, at any time, to hand this coveted award to whoever TF he feels like...hell, even retroactively. 

Buy ZBBM a case of Bud Light, and you can basically take both trophies away at year end.

I read that they cancelled westworld due to ratings decline.

I can't remember a show that was so good in season 1 that got so bad, so quickly. I got until about midway through 2, and that was it.

That said, I think the opening theme and visuals are up there in terms of of best ever. Very cool.

I have to apologize to all of you.  I stayed up and watched the OT and shootout, and it ended up exactly as it always does when I watch.

Well, I guess if a rough stretch is .500 hockey...

No big deal...he was only scoring at a 121 point pace.

They've had a bit of a rough stretch over the past little bit.  As per sportsnet.ca, the goaltending has been sub .900 for 3 consecutive starts for Samsonov, and sub .900 for Murray for 4 of 6 of his last starts.

But every good team goes through some some garbage stretches over the course of a season.  I'm quite comfortable with the team moving into the new year.  Nobody is being overplayed unsustainably, nor performing at some unsustainable rate.
