Knies, Gregor, Robertson, Holmberg, Abruzzese, and Minen all playing back to back. Brodie and Benoit making their pre-season debuts. Minten set to play in his 4th pre-season game.

Leafs play a 3rd game in 4 nights on Monday, so likely saving more of a NHL-looking roster for that game and the final 2 after that.

Neither team has announced their rosters for this pre-season game yet. So in lieu of that information here's a cat gif:

#4
The Leafs announced their roster heading to Buffalo for this game, notable players include Cowan, Domi, Gregor, Holmberg, Knies, Lafferty, Minten, Robertson, Tavares, Klingberg, Liljegren, McCabe, and Timmins:

The Buffalo side looks even lighter on NHLers as their top-6 forward group played last night. There's still some guys in Cozens, Jost, Olofsson, Power, and Jokiharju:

Preseason game #2. Ottawa announced the squad that they were sending to Toronto and it includes NHLers like Chabot, Chychrun, Tarasenko, Batherson, Joseph, and Kubalik:

The Leafs have not announced their roster for the game yet, but it will presumably include a number of the NHLers who did not participate in the Sunday afternoon game including possibly the new top line of Bertuzzi-Matthews-Marner.

First pre-season game of the year is Sunday at 2pm. The sens have announced the roster they'll be icing for the game:

The Leafs, from what I can tell, have not indicated which group they'll be sending to Ottawa. I would guess it'll be the Nylander-led group, which of course has Willy at C and NHLers including Rielly, Brodie, Domi, Jarnkrok, Kampf, and Reaves.

24-year old physical defenceman type. Played in Anaheim last year, with results that were pretty not good. But that was in a role higher than he'll see here. Actually played with Klingberg a decent amount. Likely a 7-8 defenceman here. Could see himself on the roster if Timmins doesn't fit cap wise. I suspected last week he'd get a camp PTO from us.

Leafs will probably be in the market for a number of AHL-destined guys, so this thread could keep track of them:

https://twitter.com/DarrenDreger/status/1675240305635864581
Dreger reporting the Leafs signed defenceman William Lagesson if the tweet isn't loading. He has some NHL games under his belt, but spent all of last season in the AHL. He becomes just the 4th defencemen signed in the organization beyond the 6 NHLers, and the only one in that group older than 22.

Turgeon over Mogilny, I disagree with but whatever.

Tom Barrasso and Mike Vernon over Cujo though is an absolute crime.

•Leafs switched up their lines a bit at practice on Tuesday, particularly on defence. After playing together all playoffs long Brodie and McCabe will split up and play with different partners. Giordano will serve as the 7th defenceman

•Nothing is official yet for defence pairings, but Gustafsson and Holl stayed together at practice on Saturday and both took part in speciality team drills too, which would normally indicate they'll be playing
•Confirmation on that and whether both Giordano and Liljegren will come out or if it'll just be one of them for an 11-7 line-up will come on Sunday

•Toronto only had an optional practice on Wednesday so no confirmation on any line-up changes. Keefe did put Matthews and Marner back together during game 1 so there's a possibility that carries into game 2
