They had McCabe kn PP1 yesterday.
Why? I am starting to believe Keefe is out to lunch. Bring in another rookie coach to struggle through the prime of this core... aka the Shannaplan.

He's the 2nd highest scoring defenseman on the team. I think he's shown some decent offensive instincts this season.

Quote from: OldTimeHockey on February 12, 2024, 10:43:34 AMI have zero problem with Rielly feeling that it deserved retribution. It was an a$$hole thing to do and I'd expect a Leaf to receive a roughing up if they did something similar. The crosscheck to the head was definitely too much though.

I get the emotional side, but a push into the boards should be enough.

Quote from: Rob on February 12, 2024, 11:03:44 AMIf you watch the replay in slow-Mo (pun intended) you can see the principal point of contact is Greig's arm.  Greig raises his arm, directing Reilly's stick up and into his head.

This was mentioned up thread by another poster, I feel it needs to be reiterated because Rielly didn't skate over and give Greig a two hander over the head.

If you watch that clip in 0.25 super slo-Mo (again pun intended) it gives a good view.

Ya, it looks like he was trying to just shove him. Nonetheless he hit him in the head.

Quote from: L K on February 10, 2024, 09:38:10 PMWtf is wrong with Rielly.  I get being mad about being shown up but that was unnecessary.  Maybe show up and don't play like garbage against Ottawa over and over again

He's one of the few on this team that actually shows some fun'n heart. It was unnecessary to do what Greig did. Should have crosschecked him lower and knocked out a couple chiclets. Game was over put the puck in the empty net and nothing happens. That was just a slap in the face to the Leafs is all that was.

Ya, permanently knocking out someone's teeth is totally called for because someone slapped a puck into a net.

Ya, I'm not a fan of that rule. I understand it might persuade the PK to be more aggressive, but it rewards an offending team and that doesn't make sense.

Quote from: L K on February 07, 2024, 09:43:51 PMCraig Simpson just tried to turn saying that Dalls won't take the timeout because the Leafs are also tired into validating their decision to take a timeout.

Why are you still calling Leafs games

There was around 30 seconds left. They were down a goal. They wanted their best players rested.

I didn't think the timeout decision was that profound. He's unbearable.

I'm going to Ottawa end of March to catch a game (against Toronto). Really looking forward to it!

Giordano's got to retire at some point, no? :)
#13
I'm not convinced he'd get claimed. Most teams have a Jones.

It's not unburiable as others have pointed out. Inconvenient? Annoying? Wasteful? perhaps. But not unburiable in the least.
