Quote from: Highlander on Yesterday at 11:40:34 AMHope I'm right, but i sense a new identity building around this team. Guys like Benoit have oodles of character, McMann shinning, perhaps Bert and Domi start playing to potential.  The resurrection of Samsanov.  Perhaps we have a real team gelling here.
Queue the 5 game loosing streak...

I hope you're right!

Who's starting?

I would think Jones, it's good Woll is with the Marlies and can hopefully be ready to regain the net soon.  As Marner, Willie and AM are constant producers, if we can get some consistent secondary scoring from the others then we should be in the win column more often than not.

He is taking Cody Ceci's number to almost unimaginable heights.

Honestly, he's been fine.
Sorry, what was Codi's number

Toronto Blue Jays / Re: 2024 Blue Jays

Quote from: herman on February 16, 2024, 10:21:29 PMNow that the Blue Jays media doesn't have anything to get excited about, all I'm hearing now is their gushing about how svelte and jacked Vladdy and Manoah are looking now.

We've definitely heard that about Vladdy before, but, from the article in the Athletic, it sounds like Manoah did legitimately make some major changes to his diet and training this off season.
Nice when millionaire athletes have to boast about coming to camp in top shape instead of showing up prepared in the first place. Which Manoah basically said last season he showed up as a fat cat.

We definitely need to see the continued emergence of secondary scoring;  McMann, Roberston, Domi and hopefully Bert will see the back of the net sometime soon. Also hope Liljegren can secure a top 4 job. Its his to grab.

They had McCabe kn PP1 yesterday.
Why? I am starting to believe Keefe is out to lunch. Bring in another rookie coach to struggle through the prime of this core... aka the Shannaplan.

He's the 2nd highest scoring defenseman on the team. I think he's shown some decent offensive instincts this season.
McCabe for the most part is through "developing". Let's give a young developing and possibly integral piece of our lineup a shot. I think the team is just spinning its wheels at this point neither developing nor a legitimate threat.
Liljegren is our best trade bait at this point. I think Keefe doesn't trust him. I like Lilly but Neimala will probably be up next year in the same role (at less money)
I couldn't disagree more. Have you seen our blueline personnel? This team is supposed to contend and you're talking about someone named Neimala? Who? Timothy should be pushed hard right now to see what we have and what he could be.
Actually I do agree. I really like Liljegren and want him to succeed
However I am not the coach

Even God is like, what is you doing, DoPS?
Why wouldn't they have done a virtual meeting in the first place?  Especially for first time offenders.
Not like Jack the Ripper who needs to be on the carpet.

Horrible break for Timmins here, who would have likely had a great shot of playing some minutes and maybe even PP1 time while Rielly was out.

Dude just can't catch a break.
To bad, he has shown flashes of some real talent at times.

Heard Cooper interviewed.

He wasn't definitive but it is not good.

Both benches were concerned for him.

Mikhail Sergachev has surgery on leg, out indefinitely
QuoteTampa Bay Lightning defenseman Mikhail Sergachev underwent surgery to stabilize the tibia and fibula in his left leg Thursday and will return home in the coming days to immediately begin rehabilitation, the team has announced.

Both were fractured.

Loose prognosis from google is 3-6 months

That is terrible news, must of been terribly painful.

The main thing is we don't sell off any of our top prospects and graduate some of them sooner than later. Surely Steves would be an upgrade on Reeves at this point. Perhaps Kokkenen and Neimala are going to be ready for next year. Perhaps give Tveburg a spin.

Marlies & Prospect Talk / Re: Ranking Prospects 2023-24
February 04, 2024, 12:11:03 PM
Good article by Scott Wheeler in the Athletic today reviewing our prospects.  It would be nice to see our Russian prospects with the Marlie's asap. Better to develop them asap in our system.  He also said some very positive things about Niemala and perhaps Topi is closer than we think.
