Nylander was a considerably better prospect than Robertson.  I really struggle to see where Nick is "too good" for the AHL when Nylander was put in a position to play 75G in the AHL competing for a team with less depth.

They were activley tanking that year....theres a reason he didn't play behind the likes of Byron Froese, Shawn Matthias, and collin greening

I'd take Huberdeau alone over Tkachuk. And they get all those extra goodies in the loot bag. Absolutely love it for Calgary. Wow.

Double wow because these types of hockey moves are hardly ever seen these days.

I dunno...it'll cost you close to 10M to resign Huberdeau on the wrong side of 30.  I'd take Tkachuk

Guess who the refs were?

Granted, the Tavares called-off-goal was a legit call by the rulebook.

did the Refs make the call?  or the control room?

Weren't the Leafs one of the least penalized times this season? So something magically changed in the playoffs? Oh well.

6 minors plus a too many men in one period....players on both teams catching on diving all over.  Pathetic

If Keefe was any kind of a coach they should be drilled and have a fun practice tomorrow. But that won't happen.

They should get drunk and forget this game.  We are 6 points up on Tampa.  We have to win 2 of our last 4 games to clinch home ice.   Realistically only have win one of them to do it

I don't think we win either game over the weekend. Unless Matthews is back which I'm not sure of. We manhandled Florida last time and blew it so we'll see but I think we go into a little funk. Even the last few games we've been sloppier than the 1st half of the year. That needs to change they need to tighten up.

This group could be in big trouble in playoffs
Based off tonight? Or...?

Based off tonight.  Statement game against your 1st round opponent.

Losing is one thing Without Matthews....but they got embarrassed

At this point Kallgren should just go down and fight Vasilevskiy

Vasilevskiy Is 6'3" 230 don't like Kallgrens chances

Our net-front play is awful awful awful tonite.
Nope Kallgren's fault. He's gotta make a save...

Not watching the game.  Has he been as brutal as his statline?

I think the bigger concern should be Matthews. I don't believe a word Keefe or anyone else is saying. If his injury is more serious either he is out longer than they are leading on or he's not going to be 100% for the playoffs.

Explain your rationale for not believing him

Dominate the period and one mistake and it's in the net.  None of these are on Kallgren but you need a big save
At the end of the day 4 goals on 22 shots... you will never win games like that.
At the end of the day if you give up these kind of chances, you won't win either.
2 on 0, deflection off his own d man, deflection from the slot. Breakaway on a giveaway. Stats don't always tell the whole story.
The Leafs aren't the worst team in the league for chances against and yet most other tea.s are getting above .890 goaltending. It's not a high bar and I'm tired of excuses. If the Leafs don't play a perfect game it's never on the goaltenders.

Kallgrens save on the breakaway in OT was decent I guess...

Wasn't bad enough that they allowed themselves to be embarrassed in the outdoor game, now they want to roll over and give up the season sweep? This team's gutless.
Yeah ok. They're gutless now...overreact much?
And they didn't get swept...
even that 1st game they won in Nov...they were the worse team in that game.  how you give up 19 goals in 4 games to Buffalo is beyond me

Why is Craig Anderson unbeatable for the Leafs.  The horseshoe up his ass is absurd

He's played really well.  Especially on Matthews

Nice win!

Too close in my opinion. Thank God we don't play them in the playoffs as for whatever reason we can't seem to bury this god awful team.

I give Montreal credit,  they battled hard
