If Keefe gives us one full game of Robertson-SDA-Malgin I'll never criticize a roster decision again.

Bunting takes off Tampa's #3 defenceman, nice job.

Quote from: Dappleganger on December 02, 2022, 04:14:46 PMRyan O'Reilly for 3C anyone?

He'd be my #1 choice, for sure, if he's available. St Louis is still in the playoff hunt for now, though.

Certainly wouldn't say no to ROR as a player, but I'd be really worried about the price that it'd take to acquire him.

Quote from: herman on December 02, 2022, 04:01:20 PMI don't know where you'd find an affordable 3C that's effective two-ways. Otherwise they'd be more expensive 2Cs. I'm leaning Sean Kuraly.

*slams table* we already have a Sean Kuraly!

Quote from: bustaheims on December 02, 2022, 02:32:56 PMA 3C with a solid two-way game would be my target, for sure.

I'm on the Sean Monahan bandwagon if anyone wanted to join me.

Quote from: Zanzibar Buck-Buck McFate on December 02, 2022, 12:25:45 PMThat would be #29, Pontus Pirate.

I'm going to assume the Pontus Pirate hype train dies down a little bit once his shooting percentage inevitably drops from his current 33.3%.

The guy certainly has a future in the league, but for a team with legitimate Cup aspirations I think there's a lot of room for improvement in that line-up slot.

Leafs need to be looking for a proper 3C way before they look to bring in another defenceman.

Quote from: L K on December 02, 2022, 07:44:07 AMIt's also one of those stupid thought comments from Friedman

1) He says Robertson isn't saying anything about being unhappy
2) He says no-one from Robertson's camp is saying anything about being unhappy
3) He's saying the obvious that a hockey player would be unhappy not playing hockey

He's creating a story because it's the Leafs and this is what we like to do.  Things are going well so lets find conflict stories.  I really hate when Friedman starts delving into this nonsense.

"Robertson won't turn this into a story, so I will. Find out more on 32, I mean, 18 Thoughts."

I bought into some of the doom and gloom early in the season, but despite only having both their starters healthy for a total of 2 games this season, despite injuries to their 3 best defencemen, and despite their MVP not playing to his sky high standards, they're now at essentially the same point pace as last seasons franchise record setting performance. That's pretty remarkable all things considered.

Quote from: herman on November 30, 2022, 12:35:13 PMI don't think they have the infrastructure to fulfill custom orders for a one-day sale.

Yeah. I went to look at it again and most sizes for all the different options are now sold out. Including mine for every one unfortunately. Ah well.

Brodie-Holl
Giordano-Liljegren
Sandin-Timmins

That's what I'm sure we'll see once Brodie returns. If Timmins is decent I think that's a good enough defence group to get us through December until Rielly is healthy.

Quote from: Significantly Insignificant on November 30, 2022, 01:35:57 PMKarlsson has played 25 games, not 11.  He has 11 goals though which is the same as Auston Matthews.

Ah, yeah, close enough!
