We keep talking about Robertson's potential, his motor, his talent, etc., but outside of one very very good game what has he shown to deserve being in the lineup?  I don't have any beef with the guy, but I haven't noticed him much in any of the other games he did get into.  I haven't been paying the slightest attention to Holmberg but already he's made more of an impact than Nick.  I wish it were otherwise.

G20: NYI v TOR: Isles 3-2 OT.  MotM: Sandin 2/0.  HM: Marner 1/1.  Others: Liljegren 0/1, Engvall 0/1.
G21: TOR v NJD: Leafs 2-1.  MotM: Murray 3/0 (unanimous). HM: Giordano 0/2.  Others: Sandin 0/1, and in an unprecedented exercise of my executive powers I am also awarding a vote to Marner and Holl.  Many were deserving.
G22: TOR v MIN: Leafs 4-3.  MotM: Murray 5/0.  HM: Nylander 0/3 (I switched to break tie).  Others: Sandin 0/2, Jarnrok 1/0, Giordano 0/1.

Quote from: Bill_Berg_is_sad on November 26, 2022, 09:37:40 PMDid I see Matthews fan on the puck before dishing it to Nylander?

How many laser wristers have you seen him unload this year?

I saw one tonight!

Glad to be made a fool of.  But I still think his wrist isn't 100%.

I think something is up too, but great to see him snipe one tonight. Maybe something WAS up.

I hope so.  If he gets rolling and the goaltending holds up all of sudden they look a lot better than the Bums of October.

Louis, I almost agreed with you but I am going to give my HM to Holl just because the defense was so good all game.  Or it could have been Gio or Källgren.

Quote from: Guilt Trip on November 26, 2022, 08:34:14 PMInstead of switching to break the tie, why not just split the points?

That's not allowed.  Don't ask me why.

That's an impressive back-to-back performance.  On top of the NJ game.

Great 3rd period by the Leafs.

Ok, his wrist looked Ok there I admit

What a play by Bunting.

3-1.  They probably deserve that lucky bounce.

Pittsburgh looks awful.

Quote from: azzurri63 on November 26, 2022, 09:50:28 PMI haven't been able to watch the last few games in their entirety but the Leafs D seems to be giving up less quality chances now than with our regular D. Head scratching. I thought with all the call-ups we would be struggling defensively but team is playing better in my opinion. Thoughts?

I think the forwards have really been playing responsibly and of course the goalies have been full value.  So the structure is working and even the new inserts are plug-and-play,

Marner is killing it on both sides of the puck.
