Quote from: Zee on Yesterday at 05:00:29 PMWhy do the Leafs play at like an .850 clip when Rielly is out and can't do that all the time.

Because despite the fact that he's a skilled player and great offensively, he's really not good at all defensively.Terrible at coverage. Brodie having to play his wrong side so that he could play with Rielly hampered his game badly. Look at how good he's been with Rielly out. This isn't a coincidence folks. Look at the record when Rielly is out. I'm not saying get rid of him , but rather deploy him differently. Red Kelly went from being a Norris trophy defenseman to a very effective forward. Rielly is obviously not Red Kelly, but with his skill set it would work.

Not a crazy idea, but if they didn't do it with Kaberle, they won't with Rielly.

Pairing with a RH guy like Tanev would be the way to deploy him.

And it's been a bit of a revelation how much better Brodie looks now.

Anyone really surprised at this point?  Bettman taking his sweet ass time to do nothing.

Waiting for justice from Bettman is like Waiting for Godot.

Knies, Matthews, Nylander, Liljegren, and special shoutouts to Lajoie and Rifai.

Quote from: Zee on Yesterday at 03:30:04 PMPeople were all over Nylander saying he was slumping after he signed that contract. How does 10 points in his last 7 games sound?

It doesn't matter he's lazy. Now Bertuzzi though, so much effort. So effective.

One's a big ol' root beer float.  The other, a prime cut of sirloin.

HAHA Tavares on mike with a "WTF was that!"

Liljegren is playing more assertively now.  He looks good.
#12
Marner's been all over it this game.

Liljegren made a very good keep on that goal.
