The Devils 3 times in a 10 game chunk is weird...

Matthews

I missed the last 5 minutes, but I'm pretty comfortable backing this.

Hard not to give anything to Edmundson, as he had a solid game, but:

McMann
HM: Holmberg

Quote from: CarltonTheBear on March 21, 2024, 01:33:04 PMI really wonder what kind of long-term deal you can get Domi signed for.

If he's okay with his current salary and happy in Toronto, I wouldn't mind a 3x$3mil deal and give him some stability.

Quote from: Zee on March 15, 2024, 08:18:48 AMI'm behind enemy lines lads, been in Montreal since yesterday, had to ensure seeing the awful Habs logo on a building no less. How can anyone stand to live in this godforsaken place?

Touring McGill and Queens universities with my middle daughter as she is applying starting this fall.

Putting aside the habs, Montreal is an awesome city. I'm born and raised in Toronto but I have tons of family there and usually go at least 2x a year.

Would I live there? Probably not, but I love visiting.

It's a really fantastic city. Having visited both Toronto and Montreal I actually really loved both, but just in very different ways. Montreal definitely has that European vibe to it and is maybe a little more laid back.

I did go and see the Habs when I was there. The only time in my life I ever actively supported Nashville at anything.

I had a smoked meat sandwich at Schwartz's and it was amazing, so there is that

One of the Schwartz's guys moved here and opened Sumilicious in North Scarborough

I went there with my partner last summer and it was *delicious.*  They apparently have a Michelin star too.

Quote from: Arn on March 13, 2024, 01:57:55 PMThis is a good deal. I do think he could potentially develop something like a Hyman maybe.

I was going to say McMann is 27 already and he might already be what he is, but at the same time - Hyman is having the best season of his career at 31.  So maybe McMann might still have another gear in him - he just needs the opportunity!

Quote from: Guilt Trip on March 09, 2024, 08:37:51 PMBert, not so good...he's killing the 1st IMO.

I'm tempted to see him and Domi flipped - especially with Knies and McMann gelling.

Well, at least Domi tried to get at Marchand, but he turtled.

Yeah, I'm not sure I get this.  Edmundson shoots left.  The Leafs left D was fine.

Quote from: Zee on March 07, 2024, 09:00:54 AMWhat if the Leafs top-4 right handed dman trade turns out to be Justin Holl?

As the 7th guy - fine.

If he's the main acquisition - um, no.

I see Mitch is feeling it again...
