According to various reports the Leafs and Capitals will square off in an outdoor game on March 3, 2018 at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. Official announcement is expected tomorrow on Memorial Day during the NHL state of the league address.

Should be a fun rematch of this years playoff series, although it remains to be seen if the Caps team will be recognizable with all the free agents they have.

NHL Transactions / Daley/Scuderi Trade
December 14, 2015, 10:53:15 PM
Pittsburgh Penguins acquired defenceman Trevor Daley from the Chicago Blackhawks for defenceman Rob Scuderi. The Penguins will retain one-third of Scuderi's salary as part of the deal.

Pittsburgh's D sucked, definitely a big part of the reason why Johnston got canned. Pens desperately needed a blueliner who could move the puck up ice and score some goals. Daley had 16 goals last season so he should be able to help get things turned around.

From a Blackhawks perspective this deal is all about saving some cap space.

Well his playing career never really did pan out. Hard to believe we gave up Ponikarovsky for this guy!

On the positive side I'm hoping he fairs much better in his new role as Storm assistant coach. It hasn't been decided yet if he'll be in the press box or down on the bench with Bill Stewart and Todd Harvey.

Caputi said ever since he's turned professional he kept a journal of notes and ideas that he hoped to someday use as a coach.

"I saw myself being a coach later on. I used to write down drills that I thought I would bring as a coach and quotes from coaches. I've always been a student of the game, writing things down," Caputi said.

Toronto Blue Jays / Potential New Jays President
August 04, 2015, 05:11:40 PM
In a surprising move the Tigers have released president/GM Dave Dombrowski and there are already rumblings that he could be coming to Toronto as Beeston's replacement.
I think he would be a solid choice and he has already worked in Canada previously as Expos GM.

Toronto Blue Jays / Jays acquire Troy Tulowitzki
July 27, 2015, 11:41:52 PM
No details yet on this one. Weird trade as we need arms, not bats. Maybe the Jays tired of Reyes horrible defense at SS?

EDIT: Yep Jays sick of Reyes...he gone along with "minor leaguers" to Colorado!

EDIT 2: Tulowitzki will receive a $2M assignment bonus for being traded and his contract converts to include full no-trade clause from here on out. as per Ken Rosenthal

EDIT 3: Jays also getting 42 year old reliever LaTroy Hawkins as part of the deal.

Toronto Blue Jays / Jays sign Joba Chamberlain
July 21, 2015, 09:49:43 PM
Jays have signed reliever Joba Chamberlain to a minor league deal. He will report to the Jays facility in Dunedin to start off. The Tigers cut him earlier this month, which isn't a good sign because they have a worse bullpen than the Jays!

Jays want Sanchez back in the pen, but he wants to start. If Joba gets promoted at some point maybe Sanchez gets his wish.

EDIT: sounds like a couple draft picks headed to Calgary
