Big nod to good-guy JVR for the helper at the end there.

Nods: Lots of names to choose from again.  Kadri, Reilly, even Boyes deserves recognition for what was basically two goals.

Good effort from Kadri and JVR, but they each took some really stupid penalties. Thoughen up, boys.

It's been consistently difficult to pick out only a few names for nods, so I'll single out Froese, who looked good in his first game.

Marlies win 8-2 tonight. 8 different goal scorers. That's how you define "stacked", btw.

Only two Marlies left without registering a point!

Quote from: herman on October 24, 2015, 07:53:42 AMOnly showed the goals, but it looked like we were carving into their zone with regularity and anything thrown on net was going in.

I watched the game; especially early in the 1st the Marlies looked like they were on a 10-minute powerplay.  Nylander, Kappanen, and Soshnikov really stood out, but all lines looked good.  There were several close-calls that didn't make it into the highlights; it could easily have been 10-2.  Corrado looked good; can't wait to see what he's capable of once he's done this conditioning stint.

Nods: Too many to name, so I'll just say Babcock.

And a big thank you to Zanzibar for carrying on the tradition and doing all this work for us. <3

Thanks, RedLeaf, for your diligence. It's going to be a chore keeping up with these for the whole season.

Thank you, RedLeaf!  I don't always post in here so as not to clutter up the thread, but I usually watch the Game in Six videos, even if I watched the whole game, so I really appreciate your hard work. <3

Dermott, Joly, Valiev and Brouillard have all looked above average, Dermott especially.

Gauthier hasn't looked great.

Joly and Brouillard impressed me, too.  Gauthier, man, I don't know.  I want to say that I didn't like how he was used on the PK, and that in general there is no unified defensive system to work with in a game like this, but when he has the puck he really doesn't get much done.  This was a good opportunity for him to shine and I don't think it worked out.

Anyway, here's the game in 6 for the Leafs/Habs game:
