Nylander is my favorite player and I say yes to that.

Negotiating with UFAs can't happen until July 1 except they have some sort of grace period now, I'm sure players like Austin are essentially signed before July 1.

July 1 is an opening for future UFAs to think about where they want to play next and know that if they don't sign anywhere(except Winterpeg) in NHL can be their home. 

I'm confused. Matthews isn't a UFA, so what relevance does July 1 have? He'll be an UFA on July 1, 2024. The team and Matthews can negotiate whenever the hell they want

I quite liked him and hoped he'd be back. My criticism is not on the success of the team, but the lack of upcoming depth. All those picks traded away are brutal.

Why would we trade Marner though? He's a bonafide elite superstar.

Is AM playing hurt, maybe/probably, seems to be a regular occurrence, 6'3", the new Lupul? He's only had one full season, this last year was his next best, 74 games, in 7 years he's only had more than 82 points 2 times, nothing about this guy screams superstar, he's more patient than star.

Not a fan of this lineup.  Putting Simmonds in is playing into the hands of Florida to start nonsense.  They aren't going to stop running guys when the refs and league don't do anything about it.

And Holl is going to have the same problem that Gio has.  His lack of speed on puck retrieval is going to get exposed.
