Seems to me the Rags just paid Dubinsky UFA money anyway.... Slats, oh Slats .... when will you ever learn? Never we hope...

It actually seems like a pretty fair deal. Had he been a UFA there is no doubt that he would have received significantly more.

I think it's a pretty reasonable contract. Not a steal, but not an overpayment either. Dubinsky has the potential to improve on his offensive stats as well, especially if he gets to play on a line with Richards and Gaborik.

edit: This could also be a very good comparison for Kulemin next summer. They are pretty similar players.

edit: This could also be a very good comparison for Kulemin next summer. They are pretty similar players.

I was thinking that myself regarding Kulemin. Ladd and Stafford would be two other reasonable comparables.

I also wonder what kind of deal is in store for Callahan, who Rangers fans insist was their heart and soul forward this past season.
