Matthews is looking frustrated.  He's getting a lot of chances.  I think he's about to go on another one of those stupid tears where literally everything goes in the net over the next 5-6 games.

Next 3 games before the ASG break are against the 5th and 8th (x2) worst GA teams in the league.

We'll beat up on them just like we did the Yotes urp

Take it outside, boys.

4
MotM: Tavares.  Great in regulation, brilliant in OT, would have won it in the SO had he been called upon to do so.
HM: Marner.

5
Campbell did what he needed to do at the time it needed to be done the most.

Tavares had an insanely good game.

6
Another 3-1 lead blown.  It's starting to look like an upgrade on D will be necessary.  Campbell's no longer playing lights out to cover for it.

7
Yeah, Dermott was not effective there.

8
One shift of chances and right back to Leafs domination.  This should be  a 6-1 game

Got that right. Hopefully they shut it down. Matthews needs to pot one get back on a roll.

He's had a good all-round game, faceoffs, takeaways, lots of shots.

9
A ... a ... 5 on 3 goal??  Whut

10
Tavares, I love you.

11
Marner.  Now a sniper.

12
Campbell's stats are now more normal.

I think after a TV timeout you run a line of Nylander - Matthews - Marner followed by a line of Spezza - Tavares - Simmonds then back to the regular Matthews line.

Sounds good to me.

I agree, they are a lock for the playoffs and the first round matchup will be tough no matter where they land, so experimenting with 3 lines that can (might be able to?) score is a good idea.

That said, I'm not sure the first line is sustainable and the 3rd line depends on Kerfoot feeding Nylander consistently.  Maybe he can, maybe no.

Spezza has begun to look Thornton-ish-done-ish lately but that may just be a slump.  In any case, the fourth line is intriguing.

What we need is Ritchie to be a better player.

Does anyone really care about this tourney any more?
