Unless I’m looking at the wrong source, it’s says 75% 1 dose and 69% fully vaccinated for Ontario.

Also says 67.4% 1 does and 60.5% fully for Alberta. I think you'd looking at eligible numbers for Alberta but overall numbers for Ontario.

Do they have any top tier goalie prospects we can nab for a mediocre RFA goalie?

Why would anyone with real integrity want that when they can get more lucrative and similarly prestigious positions in the private sector?

That's something I really do wish people understood. When I was a civil servant just about everyone who was in a senior position who left government work for the private sector would get way more money wherever they went. It was sort of a running joke amongst the people who stuck around.

I certainly wouldn't say everyone in government is great or anything but the vast majority of the people I know still in those roles are genuinely there because they believe in the job.

Yeah, and that's on the bureaucratic side, where they get less public criticism aimed at them individually (unless they're near the top of the food chain). The civil servants definitely mostly believe in the job. The elected officials, on the other hand, I'm not so sure. I think those that really believed in the job would find ways to do the work that come with less unnecessary public scrutiny and partisan politics.

That's a sad truth.
I've been considering running for City Council for a few years now, but I really don't know if I'm ready for the punishment. It's impossible to do a "good job".

That's a growing issue with politics. Not only is it impossible to do a "good job," your failings are blasted to everyone, everywhere. Why would anyone with real integrity want that when they can get more lucrative and similarly prestigious positions in the private sector?

No one ever accused the "Live Free" movement of being an intelligent group.

Extremely well said. On top of that, if your source of research is going to be "reading facebook articles" you cannot discount the articles that smack your theories in the face. That's not even forming an opinion. That's searching for the answers that best suit your desired response.

Yup. While it still wouldn't be great, if people were reading articles from all sides of the debates, they'd at least be able to form a more balanced (though, still poorly informed) opinion. Most of the anti-vax crowd are basically living in an echo chamber.

Can you imagine if they’d won even half of those blown lead games or the extra innings games? They’d be right there with Tampa.

Yup. If the bullpen didn't suck for a huge chunk of the season, they'd be fighting for the division. Tampa and Toronto have identical expected W-L records.

(It remains funny that the 2019 election thread is being used for this election.)

Keep it open...the way things are looking, we may have another one of these next year!

Gotta give them at least 18 months to figure out they're in a dysfunctional parliament, again. Spring 2023 for the next one is my prediction.

Starting off hot in Game 4 of the series.  Up 5-0 after a Gurriel grand slam (he might be the hottest player on the team)

Vladdy might have something to say about that.

Hernandez also now with 102 RBIs to tie Vlad there off another grand slam.

14-3 Jays in the 3rd inning……16-3
27 runs scored in their last 4 innings.

33 in a 7 inning stretch. When the offence is rolling, it just rolls right over teams.

Missed a real opportunity against Baltimore last night with the Yanks and Red Sox losing. Sign of over confidence?

I’m going to say more of an emotional let down after the last two big series.

Probably correct on that one.

Hopefully. We’ll see how they do today. That will tell us a little more.
