The Toronto Maple Leafs announced today that defenceman Jake Muzzin is out indefinitely due to a cervical spine injury. Muzzin's status will be re-evaluated in late February. Muzzin skated in four games with the Maple Leafs this season and recorded one assist.

The Maple Leafs also announced today that defenceman TJ Brodie has been placed on injured reserve with an oblique injury while the club has recalled forward Pontus Holmberg and defenceman Mac Hollowell from the Toronto Marlies (AHL).

I watched yesterday's 'Canes game on ESPN. Despite inferior commentators, it was so refreshing not to watch a sports betting program show embedded with a hockey game.

I didn't notice any betting ads/takeovers during the ESPN broadcast of the game.  I forgot just how good we used to have it...

Our system only holds the last 500 hits to the server.  Which is about 10 mins of data.  If I log in to the server in that time, I can see what was changed and see the offender.

We have been hacked three times in the past 3 days.  I did everything I could to remedy it. My host, Siteground, did everything they could. Our friend Jeff Lewis looked at it and didn't have a good solution - and neither did his techie friends.

So I resorted to deleting everything off the TMLfans servers, except for the forums.  And was forced to do a backup from BEFORE the issues started.  A week ago.  So we lost all posts from the last week.  I hated doing that - but it was the only thing I could try.

Hey all.

In an attempt to generate a little more revenue for TMLfans, not to make any real profit, but to make sure we always meet monthly costs of running the website, we've added back ads.

I know so many of you use ad blockers whenever you're viewing the web.  I do, too.  I'm asking you to consider disabling your adblocker for TMLfans.  It'd help pay the bills. It really would. I have no way of knowing if you do or not and don't want to know ;)

And if anyone ever wants to know, or wonders about my financials of the website, I'm fully transparent.  I'd gladly give you a complete breakdown of the tiny TMLfans books - income and expenses. I can tell you it's always within $50 income vs expenses monthly.

I hired a tech guy to fix up all of the errors and clean up the website files, etc.

I think things look great now. Cost a fair bit, but he did a great job.

Just a reminder that it costs money to maintain and keep upgrading TMLfans.ca... Add to that, the monthly server costs are a pain...

1. Many of you support TMLfans monthly via Paypal or Patreon. Others donate once in a while through various means.  DO NOT FEEL YOU HAVE TO! There's no requirement at all. What I get goes back into the website. I won't be shutting the lights off anytime soon - even if some of the cost comes out of my pocket at times.

2. I'll likely introduce some ads back on the site. I'll keep them to a minimum, so please consider turning off your ad blockers for TMLfans. It all helps!

Hi.  I'm downgrading the server.  I pay about $110/month for the server that hosts TMLFANS.

I just can't justify those costs.  I've downgraded to a server that should still be robust enough to manage the forums.

The move will come between now and 72 hrs - best guess.  We could lose some posts that happen as the server company moves things.

I'm considering a Patreon account where I might ask for small donations.  And you don't have to donate, just if you can.  I'll let ya know that sometime soon.
