I was at this one tonight. Fantastic win!

That would have been something!

EDIT: Just watched the pack.  Those Vegas announcers aren't too good.

Not sure how to post twitter links?
And that's not an 80...looks like 30 to me...

Nah, it says "Bo," which I happen to know is the name of his pet parakeet.

Quote from: Bender on Yesterday at 12:30:38 PMWild to think he was being compared to Anze Kopitar and how insanely happy we would've been with that. We're spoiled with him.
And the thing is, he is very close to Anze but can score like no other. And we're spoiled. Enjoy these guys because it'll be over before you know it.

Yep, that's why I am sacrificing all my free time to observation of the Buds.

The first time I saw Matthews shoot a puck in practice I thought, wow, what a release.  You knew he was going to being able to score goals.  But what I didn't realize is how big he is, and of course he's developed himself physically so he's almost a power forward.  Who now has a slapshot too.  And can deflect net-front, as he did last night.  Plus stick-lifting wizardry.  And world-class hand/eye.

As recently as the season before he won the Hart I was saying on here he was really really good, but not among the elite of the elite.  I was an idiot.

But I never advocated for Laine over him.  I think I am going to get that picture of smiling Shanny holding the winning Matthews ping-pong ball tattooed onto my back.

HM: Holmi

I'm glad you voted for Holmberg.  I just saw the stats you posted on him in the GDT — terrific.  His goal was almost as pretty as Domi's second, which in turn was almost as pretty as Holmberg's one-hander a few weeks back.

Seconded.

It's crazy to keep having to leave Marner off the vote card.  He's been fabulous during this run.

Quote from: herman on Yesterday at 12:20:34 AMNot able to watch, but from the tweets and chatter here, I'm voting

MotM: Domi
HM: Holmberg

This is legit but I'm going 64 for HM.

Quote from: Zanzibar Buck-Buck McFate on Yesterday at 12:16:26 AMKampf was terrific on that PK.

I think that kill was pivotal.  VGK didn't even get a shot.  They score there, and it's white-knuckle all the way home.

Quote from: azzurri63 on Yesterday at 12:11:05 AMGet the puck deep Knies. God now on the PK.

He seems to make that mistake a lot.

This is a freaking rodeo.  Now they have to kill a penalty.
