could Carey Price be traded  to a team up against the cap to give another $10 million in space?

Not how that works. LTIR doesn’t give additional space.

I think the easiest way to explain it is that it DOES give you additional space, but it doesn't make Price's cap hit just go away. So a team could pick up Price and their cap ceiling could potentially go up to $93mil... but Price accounts for $10.5mil of that so really it's still just $82.5mil in actual usable space.

I also finally got around to playing Cyberpunk a couple months ago after being a day 1 purchaser and deciding to hold off on getting into it until the PS5 version came out. Honestly I was pretty happy with the game overall, and it was certainly miles better than what it seemed like in it's original state.

The main story though seemed very short, to the point where I was pretty baffled when you reached the "point of no return" in the story line. And similar to games like The Outer Worlds and Fallout 4 it felt like the developers focused more on the "action" part of an action RPG than I would personally have liked. Like Nik and SI said, just an overall lack of depth. That's probably going to be the norm for big games like these though unfortunately.

Also, I guess I could have just tried playing around with the difficulty more, but I wish they made using a netrunner/hacker build a little more challenging. Once you had things levelled up a bit it was way too easy to just take out large groups of enemies without even really doing anything. If/when I do a 2nd playthrough I'm planning on really not using though abilities much if at all.

NHL Transactions / Re: Kadri signing with the Flames

No one's saying it isn't his right, it's just a bit odd. I wonder if it was more just not wanting to leave rather than not wanting to go specifically to Calgary.

Kadri's openly talked about that decision and said it was just that: he thought nixing that trade would keep him in Toronto and that's all that it was about.

T.J. Brodie also apparently put the Leafs on his no-trade list in his last season with the Flames and then signed with Toronto in the offseason.

Wonder where Colorado goes from here. J.T. Compher isn't a very inspiring 2C for a Cup contender.

What started as a disastrous off-season for Calgary has turned out quite well for them.  Great signing of Kadri, which made a lot of sense for both parties.

In a hard cap league if you're willing to spend to the cap it's pretty difficult to be terrible.

Thought Kadri had a lot of sense for Calgary after the Huberdeau trade, just didn't know how they'd create the cap space. Moving Monahan, who really really dropped off, would obviously be big.

Leafs Rumours & Speculation / Re: Armchair GM Thread 2022-2023

I think Sandin's agent is being ultra-aggressive with his contract demands because he thinks a higher cap hit could give Sandin some protection against being stuck in the press box and I think the Leafs are holding off on making a cap clearing move until they're more confident they can get Sandin signed to terms that they find reasonable.

I don't know why, but I stopped caring about this tournament a long, long time ago.

The Isles definitely make the most sense right now. Fake tweets are still bad.

Bergeron would have looked pretty amazing in a Leafs jersey with Tavares on his wing.

I can't believe Dubas didn't sign him for that. Smh
