Quote from: herman on May 17, 2024, 05:14:28 PMHe's a coach with bonafides in motivation, structural compliance, and accountability. Systems stuff will need to come from the assistants, but we can basically keep most of the same tactics, and just make it more fasstholey.

Treliving and Berube both favour heavier hockey, with big and mobile defenses. This will be the highest end forwards Berube has had.
Top analyst has said Berube is a short play. If he doesn't win and win fast or loses the team quickly he will be gone fast. I don't know just repeating what I read.

Brind'Amour has won squat. Glad is Berube even though I wanted Keefe to have another kick at the can with a couple of tall tree D added and a good Goalie tandem.

the more I read about him, the more I like the pick. Holds players accountable and that is exaclty what a few of these guys need. I wonder how much player input he will have on acquisitions etc with Treviling?

This sucks. :(

Terrible news
Shocked to see this, this morning. By all accounts a wonderful person. Seems his C had spread everywhere. We can all take comfort he will suffer no more.

Don't trade just for Saros, the other pieces that Herman mentions are intriguing.

Quote from: cabber24 on May 16, 2024, 08:58:16 AMHe was named playoff MVP and became the first OHL player to win both regular season and post-season MVP since Mitch Marner did it in 2016, also with the Knights...

I read an article comparing him to Marner, but more physical and willing to go into the corners.

So the Leafs have their Marner replacement in house. 👍

plug and play!  And at 850K a year.

Boudreau over Carlyle. Any day.

Cowan is playing the top of the PP umbrella so most of these are secondaries

Edit: Knights complete the comeback in 2OT to take a 3-0 series lead in the OHL final
What a bone cruncher for Oshawa. Great comeback and mostly due to Cowan's play

Marner to Rangers for Fox and a 1st

Ya, Willie may grow into the new Sundin.

I wouldn't mind Bennett on our team

Looks like Todd McLellan is flying to T.O. If they hire him I am will be pissed. Lets get either Quenville or Gallant and start from there.  Not a Berube fan at all.

I remember as a kid my Dad screaming at the TV usually at Ellis. Ron R.I.P.

Gallant is the only one who interests me. I liked Keefe, thought with a stud D or two we would have won against Boston.

Rod just lost two in a row, why oh why do we want him as our coach?
