Leafs re-sign Holzer (1-year, 1-way contract)

Just reinforcing the point that he hasn't proven himself yet, and, as Potvin says, is a potential cheap option.  I just don't see why they didn't give him a 2-way.

Holzer's qualifying offer would have been a two-way deal worth $682k. So the Leafs shave a little bit off their cap by giving Holzer NHL money even if he's sent down. It's really not a bad strategy.

Thanks. That makes sense.

nahhh give me a Sylvain Lefebvre any day of the week.

One of the great under-appreciated players on those pretty-good 90s Leafs teams.

A article about Holzer.

Why does he keep referring to Eakins by his first name?  That's the most unprofessional piece of "journalism" I have ever seen.

I would agree with you, but I learnt more about Holzer than I did about the journalist. His name is Dallas. Say it

It's a blog.  Blogs typically aren't held to the same standard as other print media, they're much more personal and informal.

Also, who cares?

If I was Brian I don't know if I would bend to what Scott is looking for in return for Rick.  I would hate to give up on a Nazem or Joe, especially in light of what Dallas has said positively about them.
