I've been taking in City on a Hill. Some of it leaves you wanting more but man, Kevin Bacon is incredible. His character leaves you cringing, laughing in disbelief and angry all at once.

If you want a few nights of pure enjoyment, watch the Long Way Up.  Ewan McGregor and Charlie Boorman drive electric motorbikes from the tip of Patagonia to LA over a 3 month span visiting many South American hot spots along the way. Utterly fascinating, entertaining and funny.  I have just spent 12 hours smiling and laughing.  Nice way to spend time.
Oh it is o Apple TV and two earlier trips called the Long way Around  and the Long way Down are available.  Will be watching  both of them in the next while.

Would be a good idea to watch it with you kids or grandkids.

I haven't seen that, but I've seen Long Way Round and Long Way Down. Both are fantastic, so I can assume Long Way Up is just as good.

With the recent launch of the Masters of the Air trailers, along with it being around the time of Rememberance services, I decided to re-watch Band of Brothers.

It's still an amazing piece of television even if you've seen it several times. It's the kind of thing that should be mandatory viewing in school classrooms for that 15/16/17 kind of age group.

After finishing that, I decided to try The Pacific again. I'd never really got into it as much as BoB, but maybe I'm getting older and more receptive to the but I've been really drawn in this time.

Another change since I last watched either is I have a surround sound system linked to my tv. I've spent a lot of the last couple of weeks ducking bullets and artillery coming from all angles.

Very excited now for Masters of the Air.

I used to have a 10' screen in by old houses basement, with Bose surround. Wow, so Arn I know what you mean.

I remember watching The Last Samurai, there is a scene where Nija's are running over a rooftop and hearing the footsteps directly over our heads.  God I miss that system.  Would love to buy a Sonos system at some point. There was one in a place we rented in AZ and it was amazing.

Yeah my system is Sonos. It's superb. Even for sport I have drummers in the stands off to one side and abuse being shouted from the other 😃

Whats great is they do the trip on Harley Davidson Electric prototypes and electric cars for support. Was quite the ordeal the first week keeping things charges in such cold temps.
