Yeah, I'm rarely around, but I'll toss in a few shekels a month via patreon too.

Tell that to the playoffs.

Habits need to become habit in the regular season.

You’re pining for an NHL that doesn’t exist anymore. This isn’t exclusive to the leafs.

4
Let your PP be retaliation. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Until this team develops a strong enough emotional bond, they'll never do anything meaningful.

A real team would have taken Sergachev behind the wood shed.

Neanderthal, I know, but when the chips are down and you need 100% effort, the only way you're getting it is if you can look your teammates in the eye and know that no matter what, they have your back.

Skill has gotten them 90% of the way, but they're missing the 10% will.

I don't care that Simmonds didn't score, I care he didn't pummel Sergachev.

Take a seat Wayne.

What exactly would you say your job is here?

Muzz is skating in quicksand, he needs to sit out and get healthy. At this point he's the worst skater on the team, by a large margin and that's impressive on a team with Nick Ritchie.

Main Leafs Hockey Talk / Re: Morgan Rielly extended 8 years @ 7.5M

Mo deserves more, the Leafs can't really afford much more; he's done us more of a solid than anyone other than Spezza.

Yeah. For all of you guys who give Matthews and Marner a heaping dose of scorn for "not giving the team a break" then Rielly, who's basically now agreeing to have been underpaid for his entire career, should very much be in your good books.

Correct.

Few things in hockey could bring me the joy that seeing someone absolutely dummy Binnington would.

Not to mention Tavares was paid over $40M US in the first 3 years of his contract.

That why he should really have taken a haircut.  Getting your entire salary on July 1st.  It’s a massive benefit
He did, was offered 2 million more per year elsewhere I believe.

Garbage take by the panel, that speech was perfect, the team came out of the blocks like men on fire in that game 6 OT and were undone by an individual mistake.

The coach knows the team and that was what this team needed at that time.

Talk about taking a result and building a narrative, that is a hit piece by that panel.

What's the point of Bunting, Ritchie and Simmonds?

Go grab someone and generate some momentum, get your teammates blood pumping, because this is tragic so far.

Last season left me with zero ability to give them the benefit of the doubt.

The only player worth anything so far is Mrazek, against the 2nd worst team in the league, without their best player.

Pathetic.

Non-Hockey Chatter / Re: Coronavirus

Thanks for the graphic bullfrog, it does seem a little speculative though, I don't really see numbers or specifics of what is happening.

If you test your antibodies regularly and can show proof ala a vaccine passport, doesn't that essentially accomplish the same outcome broadly speaking?

The variant comment is interesting, I'd be curious to know what is it about the vaccine immunological response that makes it different/superior to natural immunological response, as to my knowledge the vaccine was developed specifically to combat the original strain and has since shown to be effective against other variants, especially if you're testing antibodies.

I'll preface this by saying I'm vaccinated and will likely get a booster by the end of year.

What's the difference between someone that's vaccinated and someone who had covid and has antibodies?

My rudimentary understanding is that both prompt an antibody response from the immune system.

If that is the case, shouldn't people who have antibodies and who regularly test to make sure they have them, be given some leeway when it comes to vaccine mandates?

Thanks for the clarification.

Sea Dogs if the Q plays the season.

He doesn't turn 20 until March which means he isn't eligible for the AHL if his Jnr team plays.

Gabriel stood out to me in the first. Couple of nice hits and stood up for JHS when he got run.
Agreed, saw the good and the bad with him, poor penalty to take.
