Mammoth vs. Leafs - Oct. 13th, 9:00pm - TSN4

I like this kind of hockey lineup where you are never out of the game.

And we have ourselves a thread again

For those who missed it, I posted the following after the first UT goal:

Rielly walked indeed
No ifs, ands, or Buts

never let a pun go to waste

And Stolarz sucked on it. He has not been good tonight. 3 terrible goals.

Credit to the team. They didn't quit. I'd rather watch 84 games of this style of hockey than last year

Bummer.

But they didn't deserve a point TBH.

Bright spots: Matthews, the PK, the overall ability to hang in and come back.
Dimmer spots: 41, 95, 44

[Chris]

Feels like we're back the early "core 4" era where the team is almost never out of a game, and the games are exciting to watch again.

Yessir. I like it.

Fun game to watch. Thought we might get overtime. Matthews and Nylander look good. Team is still really disjointed in the d zone. They have no idea how to break a forecheck.

Man that 5th goal against was killer. Knew that was going to end up being the difference.

Shot attempts with the top line on the ice were 13-1 Leafs. Roslovic should have had a pair, Marchenko was flying through the neutral zone with the puck, and Matthews had that vintage "I want the puck, I get the puck" feel to his game again.

On the flip side the 3rd line kinda got owned, going 0-12 in shot attempts. Sissons looked much better in his shifts on the 4th line while McKenna made up for his rough first two periods with a goal and looking more dangerous in the 3rd.
