If he already believed this about Quillan, what took so long to give him some run with NHL linemates?

Perhaps the FO are seeing what they’ve done (and lost) with Steeves and Minten and correcting course.

Unfortunately those ideas came after the loss on Friday. I still can't believe we are 50 games into the year and our coach is still using Laughton as a 4th liner.

Knies - Tavares - Laughton should be our Passion line (luxurious L3)
Nylander can get a Roy line up to similar minutes alongside Maccelli or Robertson.
Quillan or Travis Boyd could anchor L4 with young and hungry forecheckers.

If I wasn't worried about the defensive side of the puck, a Robertson - Quillan - Cowan line might be fun to watch, at least for a couple of shifts.

Tre controls the NHL roster. Berube decides who plays. The Steeves handling was a huge miss.

McCabe has nothing to do with that goal but man is he ever on a bad luck streak:
