Going to be a lot riding on Barger's continued development, Santander bouncing back and Okamoto adjuster to MLB quick.

One brightside the infield defense should be stronger.

Bo to the Mets.

Honestly I'm not happy with how the offseason has played out. The Jays offense was heavily buoyed by guys having career years. I think the team is overrelying on hard to reproduce offensive production and doubling down on defense wins championships.

I feel you. I think the Jays would have been undeniable if Bo had returned. The current roster is better than the team that made it to the World Series last year.

I think Barger will provide more offensively next year and it's possible Gimenez could provide more at the plate than last year. Hopefully Santander stays healthy and with some regression in other areas, maybe this gets buoyed decently going forward.

I still wish they would have addressed the closer position.

The money is nuts. Apparently they are going to have him play 3B (good luck with those throws there LOLMets) but again.... the team is worse off without Bo in the batting lineup.

When Ernie Clement has a .720 OPS instead of the 1-dot he put up in the playoffs and Giminez is hitting .210 in August I'm not sure that I give a rats ass about the overpay when we are losing games 4-2

Our infield depth is also a bit odd.

We have Okamoto (3B), Giminez (SS), Clement (2B) and then Barger who will play RF and some 3B and Schneider who can split 2B and LF.

Clement can do some games at SS but I don't like our infield depth if someone goes down to injury

Yeah I feel they need to make one more signing still

I’m not sure if it should be a closer or a big “name” bat (not sure what if anything is left on that front with a few of the big names gone).

I’d love a lights out closer I think. That’s what cost a bit a few times. We coped ok without Bo.

One under the radar move the Jays made this offseason was signing Eloy Jiménez. Had a nice start to his career but fell off the rails the last two years. Nice redemption project.

Eugenio Suárez is still out there, 49 home runs last year. 3B, not sure how well of a fit he would be.

Not a lot of free agent options left. We aren't upgrading on Hoffman at this point and just have to hope that Cody Ponce's Korean league numbers translate back to MLB and that Yimi Garcia is healthy. Rogers helps the middle of the pen too but Hoffman is going to continue to be the closer unless the Jays make a trade

Trade for a closer was what I was thinking but possibly during the season at this point…
