Due to rain, Thursday's game was postponed.  Will be made up on Saturday afternoon as a doubleheader.

Tonight, David Price starts against Yankees rookie pitcher Luis Severino.

So, 5-0 Toronto with just one out in the top of the first, with 2 homers, 2 doubles and a single.  That's a decent start.  It would be awesome to decimate their bullpen before a doubleheader tomorrow.

Kevin Pillar......took out Tulowitzki on a fairly shallow popout to center.  Absolutely idiotic play from him.

Yeah that was vintage Pillar. He's not the brightest.

Also, it's 2015. High time the Yankees stopped playing in a little league stadium. At least Boston has a giant wall you have to hit it over.

That's on Gibbons.

As it is every time a reliever allows runs it seems.

The reason the Jays bullpen has been so good lately is that Gibbons has been putting them in positions to succeed. He didn't do that today. He tried to slip one by and save his bullpen for game 2 and ended up overusing it instead.

Sanchez is a one inning pitcher. Cecil is a one inning pitcher. Osuna is a one inning pitcher. That's where they are most successful. That's how they should be used.

Even if it worked, it's still a bad decision. Never look ahead.

How is Sanchez a one inning pitcher? He was a starter earlier this season and was doing fine.

He's not a starter anymore. He hasn't pitched more than an inning since June. It's a different mindset. When you put people in situations they aren't used to things tend to go sideways. That's as true in baseball as it is anywhere else in life.

Maybe... But I'm not major league anything but as the game was going on I would have given Sanchez a second inning...
