Reimer and Morin to Sharks for Stalock, Smith and conditional 4th

Nik and Patrick: the Scotch and Valium are kicking in. Great trade?lets sign Jame T Kirk Reimer in the summer after he gets California windburn around his goalie mask.
 
Cox just reported that only San Jose was interested in Reimer and that Reimer's asking price on an extension was 6 per.

But, you know, keep saying the Leafs were robbed.

And to perhaps support your point,  if Reimer's agent now is going to get more than $3 million and 3 years as a contract offer  from another team, it may be a slight miracle especially given the goalie market.
 
I could see Reimer getting $6M if he stands on his head and leads the Sharks to the Cup. Other than that his agent is dreaming.

Well, Reimer is never getting 6 million. That's just crazy talk. I wouldn't give him 5 either.

That said, just because there's a slow trade deadline market for goaltending doesn't necessarily mean that the same will be true on the UFA market. A bunch of teams that are out of the playoff race right now wouldn't trade for Reimer but might be interested in signing him.
 
Reimer is an awesome goalie and an awesome teammate! He could have lead this team for many many years!
I was happy with every move they did so far this year up until now!....
I am extremely disappointed! This trade totally sucks!!!!

Patrick I hope your right about them agreeing to talk this summer.
Not sure were you heard that....hope it was a legitimate source....
 
The only inside info Cox gets is inside his own house....and from his wife.  Certainly not from any of his kids. Assuming he's fertile that is...and conned some woman into marrying him.

Both Reimer and Lou said it today, with words, from their lower face holes.

Also, Reimer's agent basically calling Cox a liar on Twitter too re: contract request.
 
I won't be satisfied until we get to the bottom of this by calling up Mrs Reimer.
 
I'm sure the specifics can be argued over on Twitter but does anyone really doubt that Reimer would be looking to make starter's money? Or that it would be questionable for the Leafs to give it to him? 
 
This thread is honestly funny.

Let me ask anyone who feels the leafs were robbed this -  Reimer is with the sharks -  as a leafs gm what would you offer the sharks in a trade to bring Reimer to the leafs?

This is awesome every time it's dusted off from the history books.
 
So:

Stalock and Smith have no future with the Leafs.

And all we got for Reimer was a lousy 4th.

Oh wait, we gave them Morin too.  He has no value whatsoever, right?  Except, well, Doug Wilson seems to think he might have a future with the organization.

So, even if one were to accept all this revisionist talk about how Reimer couldn't possibly have brought us more than a bag of pucks, doesn't this mean we traded Morin for a 4th? 

Now I'll stand back and listen as people tell me that's all he was worth.
