Not surprising at all. He's an easy clear, and now he'll get to play as many games as he needs to get his game back on track. I don't think getting a game a week at most up here was going to help him do that. Leafs also get $375k in extra cap space with him down and Kallgren up.

Interesting that Dubas in his remarks today pointed to mental resiliency and belief in themselves as his reasons why he thinks both Mrazek and Campbell can find their form again.  Hope he's right.

He may be as mentality tough as they come, but his positioning sucks.  Clean that up.

Rather than start a new thread, I'll just comment here that it's important to get Mrazek back for the playoffs.  I hope he recovers quickly enough to be available.  He was just settling down when we hurt himself again.  (We saw it happen with Allen on Saturday, BTW.)

K?llgren is our most credible B/U at this point (I would hate to have to go to Hutch).  If Jack goes down, we really need Mrazek as an option.

Goaltending is emerging as a our weakest link, now that Giordano is here and Muzzin looks like he might be OK again.

I actually think we may have seen the last of Mrazek on the Leafs.  Unless something crazy happens, Leafs go on a deep playoff run and he's back for round 3 or whatever, he's probably done.  Leafs will try to dump him in the summer.
