Defensively, absolutely. At the plate, not so much. The Jays can definitely manage with his below average bat, but I can definitely see Gibbons not feeling the same way.

It's not a difference of totals, it's a difference in sequence. Teams like to gradually increase workloads. Again, you can agree with that idea or not but that is the idea.
