He's a 4th liner who forechecks well.  0 points in 14 games in the Avalanche cup run.  3 points in 27 playoff games so I'm not sure that I'm expected a repeat of his 11G season.  At 1 million though I'd rather see Aube-Kubel playing every night over Simmonds.

I feel like this kinda confirms they don't see Simmonds as an everyday player this season. Wonder what happens there.

Don't see what's bitter.  It's a cheap guy you plug into the 4th line who you hope will do well.

We've had Ennis, Thornton, Spezza, etc., come in with such role.  He should hopefully supplant Simmonds, who just didn't have it last year.
