These both seem fine, which is about what you expect from 7/8 guys. I imagine Benn will be earmarked for the 7th guy and Mete is expected to get through waivers (we'll see about that) and be the depth guy on the Marlies. He's pretty late into the "development" game but maybe getting some big time AHL minutes can help get his game a little back on track. He was definitely rushed into the NHL and then stuck playing in a bottom pair/healthy scratch role basically his entire career so far. Or worst case he's simply a guy with NHL experience who can provide some minutes when injuries hit and that's all.
Think we're really just waiting for the inevitable D (Holl?) trade now.
These former Habs are just waiting to get picked up on waivers by whichever GM wants a laugh. Known names to shield other players we need to slip down.
