Leafs sign Colton Sissons and Teddy Blueger

ok, so did they just blowed the cap space in a couple of hours ?

I like this sign, a tight high, but 2 years is not that bad

Feels notable to pair these guys together. Another one that's slightly more than I thought. edit: after slightly more thought the money on this actually seems fine.

The Sissons cost is still a headscratcher though. I don't think he's a 3C but seems like that's what they're expecting him to do.

Leafs potentially have their centres with: Matthews-Tavares-Sissons-Blueger down the middle.

Sissons was on my list to get (so was Blueger)
He's costing even more than I hoped but we knew it was going to be ugly with the demand so much higher than the supply
He's good for the bottom six.
He wins ~54.4% of his draws
He's a fast skater 84th percentile
He's a right shot, below average velocity
6'1" 200lbs, 32 yrs old
He hits & blocks shots, pretty good on takeaways
Advanced stats seemed ok for a bottom six
He PKs
Career ppg .31
They need a player like this and he was one of the better available bottom six centers
Played well for Vegas

Blueger is from Latvia, which confused me because his names didn’t end in S. His passport name is Teodors Blugers and now it makes more sense.

Now we might have something substantial on L4 with Joshua-Blueger reunited

Sissons appears to be the de facto 3C then, which will be a shutdown line that hopefully chips in counter-attacks off the rush.

I always liked Sissons, bit of Swiss Army knife. I know in a deep fantasy hockey formats this guy puts stats across all categories.
