The Ranger broadcasters continuing this false narrative that it's the "young inexperienced" Leafs who have a hard time holding leads. When it's our vets that have let us down, case in point, JVR's delay of game penalty right there.

It's not an either/or. One of the reasons the Leafs have had trouble holding onto leads is some of their older players being forced to do things they wouldn't ordinarily do because the young guys aren't ready for certain roles.

Yeah, of course. I don't mean to blame the veterans. For sure, it's not either/or.

Soshnikov has been great tonight IMO.

Mirtle made a point in an article today or yesterday that he's not showing anything really resembling the offence he did last year. I think that's mostly true, although I think he had more freedom late last season. But even still, he's basically the ideal 4th line for this day and age.

That is true but if you remember his very first goal last year, that was a goal-scorer's goal.  I think if he got enough time up the lineup you'd see more of that.

Great play by Carrick go go down low there. I honestly haven't seen the jump in his play that I was hoping for this season though. Maybe not getting much of a chance to get PP time with the 4-forward set-up has had something to do with that.
