I don't disagree with any of that but I'd be careful about saying that Toews gets the edge because of his team's accomplishments or things that happened in the past. The reason the Flyers haven't won a cup with Giroux can't possibly be put at Giroux feet and he's actually got better scoring numbers in the playoffs than Toews does(Toews is at 1.00 ppg, Giroux at 1.07)
And I think something does have to be said for what Giroux showed this year offensively. He played at a 99 point pace this year. The best Toews has put up in his career was this year at an 80 point pace. That's a not insignificant edge for Giroux.
