Islanders @ Leafs - Sept. 30th, 7:30pm - Prime

[YYZ]

Does the pace of play seem quicker tonight?

Prior to the goal they looked like they were skating in mud.

[herman]

Good adjustment to let Marchenko be primary PP carry

Still passing like they’re wearing Imperial stormtrooper helmets

[YYZ]

COWAN!

Props to 44 for keeping it in at the line.

[herman]

What a keep by Rielly at the line. Roslovic to Cowan for the 2nd goal

Slot tips and rebound goals are very repeatable at all ends of the depth chart.

Rielly’s backhand mid-air knock down is very hard to repeat though, dang.

[Bender]

Cowan looking great.

Is the game on TV?

The Islanders seem fast but the Leafs are matching them. This is a fun team to watch so far that Chayka/Sundin built

Got it, thanks.

Was that Brandon Duhaime getting a weird first line shift with 86-34?

[L K]

Back to the PP. Hopefully PP1 can figure things out

[YYZ]

Was that Brandon Duhaime getting a weird first line shift with 86-34?

Swapped sweaters with Roslovic.

[herman]

I like their PP strong side look with the behind the net hinge into the more frequently used shooting side form. Islanders PK was not ready for that first look

[Bender]

Great shift. McKenna starting to flash his smarts.

[herman]

Islanders are a really good team to face early on for a team looking to establish a rhythm and chemistry. They’re fast and hard working and honest, but not quite skilled enough to burn you too frequently, so the Leafs need to stay clean and match that work rate.

[Joe S.]

Rielly looks really good tonight. To me anyway.
