What's worrying is that the 3 teams we held our sh*t together against are sitting in the basement of the league right now (after 4-5 games but still). Now against a top-10 opponent we are looking way too much like last year's team.
We're down by 1 goal, and it could easily be the other way around (see Kulemin batting the puck off the post, etc; Reimer doesn't let in one of those goals).
You're making it sound like they're mopping the floor with us. We're not going to win every game, it's going to still be tough pretty much every night (the parity in the league), and being down 2-1 in a game that has been pretty even so far is nothing to worry about, in my opinion.
We won't win every game, but when we do lose, there's no point in freaking out and saying it is like last year's team or whatever, especially this early in the season. This team was always going to lose, and just because they do, all it means is they are like every other team. Even Detroit will lose.
