Yeah so what does this mean for their 23 man roster?  They have to submit by 5pm, so either they carry 3 goalies, or they assign the other dude (not Fleury) to their AHL team and keep Subban as the backup??  Seems risky considering Subban hasn't exactly broken through yet.  I guess Vegas can roll the dice, they're an expansion team after all and nobody expects anything from them anyway.

Well the other dude, Calvin Pickard, would need to go on waivers before being assigned to the AHL and that hasn't happened. So barring a trade their opening roster is going to have to include 3 goalies.

The other interesting thing is that Vegas STILL has 11 defencemen on their roster, and only one of them is exempt from waivers. So even if they send that one defenceman down (Shea Theodore, who is arguably one of their better defence options), they'll have 10 defencemen on the team plus 3 goalies. That leaves room for... 10 forwards on their opening 23 man roster.

Yeah. Their first regular season game isn't until Friday, and with the shooting in Vegas I did wonder if the league might give them a bit of an extension to submit their roster. That's kind of the only thing I can think of at this point.

Shipachyov is cut but not really.  He will play opening day.
Theodore maybe the same
