A big party for Cubs fans...

First blood for those peskies Indians... first Boston, then the Jays. Now the Cubbies! Don't give 'em a lead after 3 innings  ;) Miller-time!

Coming off of their 5-1 win in Game 2 in Cleveland, on stellar pitching from starter Jake Arrieta and some timely hitting, the Chicago Cubs failed to ride the momentum in Game 3 in Chicago, as the Indians needed just a 1-0 victory plus some timely pitching of their own (in the form of Andrew Miller), to take a 2 games to 1 lead here so far.

Wrigley Field, the home of the Chicago Cubs, played host to not only Game 2 but also it being the first World Series game played there not since the year 1945.

I always said if the Cubs made the World Series I would root hard for them to win... But for some reason I have really taken to these Indians... From the manger on down.. I find them to be a very likable team

... and the team that beats your team and then wins it all almost makes you #2  ;D

Cleveland has taken a commanding 3 games to 1 lead with their 7-2 victory last night over the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field.

The Indians, led by starter Corey Kluber's pitching performance and Jason Kipnis' three-run homer, have dominated this series so far.  Indians skipper Terry Francona is now 11-1 in the World Series.

There's still time for the Cubs to mount a comeback, but with their anemic hitting (.204), they'll need to solve the Cleveland pitching riddle and throw in some heavy offensive presence.  Can they do it?  The next game will tell the tale.

I think this series is showing that the Jays' offensive performance in the ALCS wasn't just an issue of their bats.  This makes it the third top offensive team that Cleveland has managed to stymie or keep in check for anywhere from 3-5 games in a row.

Chicago staves off elimination winning Game 5 3-2 over the Indians.

Cleveland still leads now 3 games to 2, with Game 6  at Progressive Field in Cleveland Tuesday (tonight).  The Cubs will have their ace Jake Arrieta on the mound while the Indians will place Josh Tomlin there.  Both starters were victorious in their individual respective previous outings.  Should be an interesting pitching duel.

Whoa, whoa, whoa!  The Chicago Cubs are going to a Game 7...and how!

The Cubs demolished the Cleveland Indians last night by a score of 9-3.  Chicago's Addison Russell tied a World Series record of six RBIs, which included a grand slam in the seventh inning. Add to that another sound performance by starting pitching ace Jake Arrieta,  plus good relief support and suddenly the series is tied at 3 games apiece.

The Indians faced a total collapse considering that Chicago got to starting pitcher Josh Tomlin.  Though the Cubs won Game 5 by a 3-2 close score, it wasn't until Game 6 here at Progressive Field in Cleveland that the Cubs offence went full tilt.

Now the question begs...who will win Game 7 and thus be crowned World Series champions?  Is it Chicago with their 108 years of World Series futility or is it Cleveland?

Watch Game 7 to find out.  That goes Wednesday (tonight) in Cleveland.

I have a racist cousin in Ohio cheering for the Indians. To have them AND Trump lose all within a week of each other would be pretty great. Go Cubs!

Extra innings now, tied at 6-6.  So much weird stuff has happened I wouldn't be shocked if Steve Bartman ended up pitching for the Cubs at some point.

And now a rain delay

So the Cubs are World Series champions, which is a perfectly ordinary human sentence.

I hope our time is next.  Although, you have to feel bad for the Indians too not having won since 1948 which is much worse than the Leafs
