I wonder what kind of say Tim Murray has in Buffalo in light of the revelations today from the Bills GM, he has basically said it's the Pegulas making every big call, right down to who plays and who is hired and fired, he is not part of the conversation either.

Yeah, I just read that myself. I suppose I figure that there may be a little more deference for the specialized skillset that hockey comes with from an American owner who maybe didn't grow up around the game and so Murray isn't part of anything similar.

I hope so anyways because that just sounds like a trainwreck.

China calling.  NHL anticipates a pre-season game will be in the works next year, in China.

Also, indecision lingers on whether the NHL will send it's players to the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in Pyeong Chang (South Korea).  The IOC has set January 15th as the deadline, much to the dismay of the league.

As much as I hate fights after clean hits, I have a lot of respect for Scheiffle there, he was having none of that at all. You have to draw a line in the sand as far as the rookies go.
