There was an article in The Athletic recently that reported that Marner’s camp was still upset about him being put on the 4th line by Babcock YEARS after the fact. That’s just ridiculous.

On the other hand, media have been saying (thinking of Jonas Siegel in particular) that Marner hasn’t seemed happy with the Leafs going back a couple of seasons so it’s odd to me there wasn’t more of an effort to try dealing him before the deadline.
