    John Tavares: HOF?

Except Sundin was a point game player in a lower scoring era.

    John Tavares: HOF?

No end of season awards. No particularly large season totals (career high is 88 points). Below point/game for his career. Hall of Very Good, I’d say, especially considering his contemporaries.

Leafs Front Office 2026-27 | Speculation, Discussion

Mehta would be an interesting hire, for sure, and very much in the vein the team should be looking at - up-and-coming AGMs/executives who haven't sat in the big chair but otherwise have NHL experience. Don't go for a "name" or anything like that. Just like with coaches, there are very few GMs in...

This should pretty much guarantee Bérubé is gone in a few weeks.

To be fair, he’s from St Louis. You gotta start him against his hometown team.

2025-26 Toronto Maple Leafs General Discussion

I’m not sure how much damage Treliving can do right now. As long as he’s gone before the real offseason work begins, it’s okay. Bérubé….just cut the cord already.

    2025-26 NHL Thread

The standards are too low. That was a completely unnecessary and dangerous hit that was clearly from behind the whole way. A hit that could have resulted in a very serious injury. 3 games is basically a slap on the wrist. It doesn't do anywhere near enough to discourage these types of plays. The...

Maybe, though part of me wonders if he’s a victim of Bérubé. The amount of Leafs who have played the worst hockey of their careers these last two years is high.

    Canadiens vs. Leafs - Mar. 10th, 7:00pm - SN

A poorly coached and awkwardly constructed team playing poorly? There was no cliff to fall off. They’ve been deep in the gorge for some time now.

They stopped being particularly good together and Stetcher’s play really dropped off. He looked like a great find for a while, but now it’s clear why he’s struggled to stick with a team.

    Laughton to LA

Coaching is definitely part of the issue, no question. Laughton is just one of many players who have looked worse under Bérubé. The pro scouting needs help and has for a while, but coaching has been awful.
